The winner of our photo contest with the theme “Our City on the road towards a green, sustainable and low-carbon future” is Davide Avantini from Università` degli Studi Roma Tre.
The photo has been submitted together with the following caption which explains the relationship of the elements portrayed with the theme of City Minded i.e. urban de-carbonisation.
“In the cities of the future, the relationship with nature will be the main focus of all urban considerations. The materials used for the new projects will be the result of a well-developed scientific research and of a deep respect for the world we live in.
“This union between innovation and tradition will allow the future architects to explore old materials with new eyes and new perspectives, towards a green, sustainable and low-carbon future.”
