The Department of Architecture of Roma Tre University has edited and published a monographic issue of NU3 – le Note di U3 dedicated to CITY MINDED, entitled ‘Teaching Decarbonisation. Methodologies and experiences from CITY MINDED’.

The publication aims to increase dissemination opportunities of project results and contribute to the academic debate on urban sustainability, providing suggestions and ideas to improve its teaching in Higher Education Institutes.

U3-UrbanisticaTre (ISSN 1973-9702) is an online scientific journal recognised by ANVUR, the Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of the University and Research Systems. It was created by Roma Tre University and focuses on the study, design and construction of cities and territories, providing a space to discuss ideas, researches and experiences on their collective production. NU3 – leNote di U3 is part of U3 publishing project and is an open-access collection of studies or researches that is normally used for disseminating the achievements of EU-funded projects featuring Roma Tre as partner.

This monographic issue collects seven short papers authored by all project partners, which complement the Proceedings of the Final International Conference by focusing more specifically on the educational aspects of CITY MINDED. Besides providing an overview of the project and of its background context, the publication aims to share knowledge on how the CITY MINDED ‘city decarbonization itinerant workshops’ were structured, conducted, and adapted to the pandemic situation. The ultimate goal is to trigger a collective discussion on innovative methodologies and learning environments that universities can adopt to teach urban sustainability in a more effective way, bridging the gaps across different disciplinary domains.

The publication can be accessed from the CITY MINDED website and downloaded at http://www.urbanisticatre.uniroma3.it/dipsu/?page_id=7778.
